My own son, in first grade this year, was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in preschool. He is wickedly smart but he is a literal energizer bunny with a devastating lack of impulse control. If you enjoy Dungeons and Dragons then you'll enjoy these books. They're Urban Fantasy and Detective Noir styled. I love the style of magic in them and how it's built into the world that they have. It's like a 1940s era but technology is run with magic instead of electricity which I find quite unique. This series is written by my brother so I can't help but recommend it. And I have actually done a lot to promote it including making a video series for them on YouTube!
