Good restaurant. We decided to try Egyptian food for the first time, so take my review with a grain of salt. We ordered multiple plates to try a few things. My family is a foodie one. My daughter tried the kofta bowl, which was my favorite by a bit. It was very juicy and flavorful. The service was great, is a small place so be patient. I love the seating space, we sat by the window and got to submerge in the DC Egyptian experience!

Very nice Egyptian atmosphere, with murals of the most famous in Egypts and very nice music ambiance while eating tasty food.

As an Egyptian living abroad, I was delighted to find this place and actually find authentic food that tastes like you're back home. Such a friendly owner and adorable atmosphere that made me feel like I'm in Cairo. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. You won't regret it!

This DC gem serves authentic, soul-warming Egyptian fare in a cozy, inviting space ! The star koshary blends rice, lentils, macaroni, and crispy onions with fragrant tomato sauce, hearty and addictive. Silky lentil soup, brightened by lemon and cilantro, pairs perfectly with warm flatbread. Creamy hummus, elevated by olive oil and cumin, is sooooo good. The spiced chicken mushroom bowl, with tender chicken and savory sauce over rice, is rich and satisfying. Attentive service, generous portions, and unbeatable flavor make it a DC favourite !!!
