Five stars for Dahoam in Alameda! We attended a gardening event and my kids loved it so much we signed up for more. It’s a welcoming, neighborly space that offers a bit of everything. I even took a brewing class and realized it’s much more approachable than I thought! It’s rare to find a non-profit that engages both kids and adults so effectively. We’ll definitely be regulars. +points for being in Alameda, being bikable and near bus stops, free street parking, refreshing beverages, being a non-profit and just being awesome all around

Love this little gem. The garden is lovely any time of the year. The cooking classes offered are Bavarian centric,think sausage,schnitzel,Ghoulash. The seasonal classes have included christmas cookies,chocolate Easter eggs )even a pickling class for all that extra zucchini!!! This is a wonderful experience for all ages.

The classes and brunches here are such a peaceful and easy Sunday activity. My Aunt and I took a chocolate making class, and it was a very pleasant experience. The venue is super pretty and the garden is so dense and fragrant. Highly recommend for a Sunday afternoon

My family had such a fantastic time at a recent gardening event that we’ve already signed up for more! The team at Dahoam was wonderful with my kids, encouraging them to enjoy the process of gardening and see the "fruits of their labor" firsthand. Beyond the gardening, I really enjoyed the neighborly atmosphere. As a non-profit, they also offer beer-brewing classes—something I always assumed was a wildly complex industrial process. I learned so much and felt right at home. In the future, I’d love to see a cooking or pairing class focused on traditional Bavarian beers! Dahoam checks off so many boxes for our family; we can’t wait to come back. Great job!
