Regular frisbees sail too far and end up under someone's truck. These are soft, catchable, and stay in the grassy area where your kids are actually standing.

A full-size soccer ball takes up half the trunk. These pack flat or small but still give kids something to kick and throw around for fifteen solid minutes.

Sometimes my kids need structured chaos. Telling them to just run around doesn't work — but saying ‘race to the cone and back’ gets them sprinting immediately.

Rest stop grass is never flat or mowed perfectly. These work on patchy, bumpy ground where a regular game of catch falls apart.

Half the battle is finding stuff that packs small. I use one canvas tote for everything, so if it doesn't fit, it doesn't come.

After they sprint around for fifteen minutes, I need them to wind down before getting back in. Going from full speed to car seat never works — these bridge the gap.

Running around at a rest stop in July without water is a recipe for a meltdown two miles later. I keep drinks and snacks in the same tote so everything's grab-and-go.

Spent two trips with stuff loose in the trunk before I figured out the right bag setup. Everything needs a spot or you'll never actually pull it out when you're tired at mile 300.
