My feet used to ache before I even made it to the coffee maker. Switched to memory foam and now the walk from bed to kitchen actually feels like a reward instead of punishment.

November hit last year and my toes went numb walking to the thermostat. Sherpa-lined slippers fixed that problem faster than arguing with my partner about the heating bill.

Running out to grab the mail or let the dog out in socks destroyed three pairs of regular slippers. These actually survive the porch and the wet grass.

Sweaty feet in slippers during summer grossed me out enough to find pairs that actually breathe. Now I wear slippers in July without feeling like my feet are in a sauna.

After spilling coffee on my third pair and hand-washing them into shapeless lumps, I only buy machine-washable now. Life is too short for hand-wash-only slippers.
