The two cameras I actually run on event days.
My main A cam for interviews. This is the body I lock off when I need cinema-looking talking heads and I don’t want to burn a Z6 III on a stick.

Main body for photos and video. I keep two of these so color and quality stay consistent when I switch cameras mid-event.

Great all-around for wide and up close. I have two of these and they cover most of the day.
Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens (Nikon Z)
The budget-friendly zoom when I need more light than the 24-120. Wide and tight without swapping to a prime.
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens (Nikon Z)
Lightweight prime I start with. Standard focal length, easy on the gimbal, good when the room is dark.
Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4 Lens (Nikon Z)
Outdoor days blow out fast. This stays in the bag so the 24-120 and Tamron don’t cook the sky.
NiSi 77mm Circular ND Filter Kit
This is the 70-200 f/2.8 I use for speakers on stage and candids from the back of the room. Tight shots without walking into the aisle.

Lightweight gimbal I mainly use with a prime. Zoom lenses throw off the balance, so this is a 35mm tool more than a 24-120 tool.
DJI RS 4 Mini Combo Kit
Clips to the side of the RS 4 Mini so I can run a V-mount and stop swapping gimbal batteries mid-event.
Tilta Pocket V-Lock Plate V2
Hydraulic clutch legs. I can set a rig down and level it in seconds. Holds up to 13.2 lb, which is enough for the ZR or a Z6 III.
