step one: washđŸ«§

the first step starts in the shower. use a hair brush to gently distribute product and breakup any knots. **pro tip: try to shampoo your hair only twice a week, one of those times being a ‘double shampoo’ to cleanse your scalp + hair!**

to all my baby wavy girls— PLEASE do not be afraid of gel!! layer it on, and then scrunch with a microfiber towel afterwards. it’ll leave a cast and then you’ll break it up afterwards! simple as that!

this controlling gel is much more light weight than aunt jackie’s, so i keep it towards the ends of my hair and it works great! not a huge fan of the smell but the product works super well so what can i say đŸ€·â€â™€ïžđŸ€·â€â™€ïž

if you’re gonna use any sort of towel on your hair (to dry or plop or scrunch with), make sure it’s microfiber! i like this one because it’s bigger than a normal mf towel, which makes it easier to use on poofy hair 😉

it pains me to say this because they are on the more expensive side (as hair towels go) but i truly cannot find a wrap i love more than kitsch’s. they’re quick drying, non damaging and eco friendly. they truly are the best on the market.
